This past week on August 12th, 2019, The Exceptional Life Institute founder Monica Ortiz gave a talk to over 40 attendees at Google's New York headquarters.
She discussed how mindfulness can be applied to make life, work, relationships, and personal goals more successful and less anxiety-inducing. And while she shared the 7-7-7 meditation technique, as well as breathing + movement techniques that can be used in the workplace whenever you're about to have (or have just finished!) a tough meeting, this wasn't your typical mindfulness talk.
Monica took questions on how do you handle difficult coworker interactions without leaving feeling frustrated and drained for the rest of the day, how to change a negative team culture that seems entrenched, and more real-life problems people run into. The Q&A around how to apply mindfulness to perform better at work, practically improve your relationships, and keep anxiety at bay were fantastic.
Thank you to Bayard Russell of the Google New York gPause team for inviting Monica to come share her wisdom and spark a great discussion!
